Shower drains can become clogged due to the buildup of limescale, soap residue, or often hair clots. Each of the methods described below can help clear a shower drain. If the first method doesn't work, try the following.
method:
1. Use a flashlight to look inside the drain. Most obstructions are caused by hair buildup. If a lot of hair is stuck near the drain, you can remove it by hand.
If the obstruction is caused by a larger object stuck in the drain, perhaps you should contact a plumber, as you can't easily remove solid objects with makeshift tools.
2. Bend one end into a hook shape with 8 to 10 gauge wire, insert it into the sewer pipe, and try to remove the clogged debris.
3. Put the suction cup on the drain, and operate the suction cup by pressing the handle 5-10 times. The blockage may be removed under pressure, or the debris may be sucked into the upper part, which can be removed with a wire. Pour water down the drain and check that the obstruction is completely removed.
4. Unblock the chain manually, it is very cheap. Insert the hose into the drain. Stop if you feel resistance: you should reach the obstacle. Turn the hose handle clockwise. Continue to turn the handle while pulling the hose out. Debris blocking the drain will be carried out by the unclogging chain.
5. Use chemicals to corrode debris, you can try normal chemicals before using more aggressive chemicals. Shower drains clogged, mostly hair. dissolve them chemically.
6. Wait for the drain to run out of water. Pour about 300 grams of bicarbonate down the drain. Add about 100ml of white vinegar to the drain. Cover the drain with a rubber stopper, wait 30 minutes, and boil a liter of water in a pot or kettle. Pour boiling water down the drain. Dissolve the residue under the action of bicarbonate and vinegar.
If none of the above methods can solve the blockage problem, check whether the toilet and other floor drains are reversed.
